FoneGeek Video Converter User Guide

FoneGeek Video Converter is the best video converting software that helps you convert videos to any format at fast speed without quality loss. It offers both Windows version and Mac version. Just download the right version and complete the task with the following steps.

Option 1: Convert Videos to Any Format

FoneGeek Video Converter enables you to convert videos to a wide variety of formats, such as MP4, AVI, MKV, WMV, MOV, HEVC Video, YouTube Video, etc.

Step 1. Add Video Files

Launch the Video Converter software and go to the Convert section. Click the "Add Files" button at the top-left corner to import the video files you want to convert. Also you can directly drag & drop files to the program.

Step 2. Choose Output Format

Click the drop-down icon at the top-right corner of the window to enter the list of output formats. Then simply click the format icon from the list of Video, Audio and Device to set an output format for the files, for example MP4.

Note

If you want to change the format settings, you can click the edit icon on the right to custom settings, including Video/Audio Encorder, Resolution, Channel, Frame Rate, Sample Rate, and Bitrate.

Step 3. Convert & Save Videos

Now you can click the "Convert" or "Convert All" button to start the conversion process. After the conversion completes, you can tap the folder icon to open the output folder from where you can find the converted videos.

Option 2: Edit Video to Make It Stand Out

FoneGeek Video Converter has advanced editing features for you to customize your video, such as trim, crop, apply special effect, add watermark or subtitle, etc. To get started, please add video files to the program.

1. Trim Video to Remove Unwanted Parts

Click the Trim button among the 3 editing icons under the video thumbnail to get the trimming window. Select the unwanted part you want to trim, click "Delete" then "Save" to confirm the changes. If you want to split a long video into small clips, you can drag the time slider to the place you want to split and click "Cut".

2. Crop or Adjust Video to Perfect Size

Click the Crop button below the video thumbnail to get the cropping window. You cam simply drag the corner of the video frame or enter the specific crop area size. Here, you can also find 4 options to rotate the video: clockwise, anticlockwise, flip horizontal and flip vertical.

3. Enhance Video with Effects & Filters

Among the 3 editing icons under the video thumbnail, click the Effect button on the right to get the effect window. Then you can choose your favorite filters and adjust the brightness, contrast, saturation settings, etc. After that, click "OK" to apply the changes to your video.

4. Add Watermark to Protect Copyrights

Click the Watermark tab in the effect window. To add an image watermark, click ... to select an image from your computer and then drag it to the place you want. To add a text watermark, simply enter the text to the blank. Then you can click T to set the fonts, colors, size, styles and transparency.

5. Add Subtitles/Captions to Your Video

In the effect window, switch to the Subtitle tab. Hit the ... option and click the Add button to import subtitles from your computer. Also, you can click the search icon to search subtitles online. After that, you can set the font color, size, style, transparency and position for the subtitle.

Option 3: Download Videos Online in Clicks

FoneGeek Video Converter is integrated with a full-featured video downloader, allowing you to download online videos from YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.

Step 1. Copy Video URL

Go to YouTube or other video sharing sites via your browser, search the video you would like to download, open the video and copy its URL.

Step 2. Paste URL to Program

Run the video downloader and click the Download section in the top. Then click "+ Paste URL" to paste the copied URL to the program. In the setting dialog window, select your desired format and resolution for the downloaded video, then click on "Download" to start the process.

Step 3. Download Online Video

The program will immediately begin downloading the video and show you the download speed and remaining time. When the downloading completes, you can go to the Finished tab to view the downloaded video.

Option 4: Transfer Videos to Your Devices

FoneGeek Video Converter can help you transfer video or audio files from your computer to iPhone, iPad, Android or other external hard drives.

Step 1. Connect Device to Computer

Run the video converter software and click the Transfer section in the top menu. Then connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Android device or other removable hard disk to your computer.

Step 2. Locate the Video You Want to Transfer

You can click "Add Files" to import the video from your local computer. Or you can go the Convert or Download section to find the converted or downloaded video you want, then click "Add to Transfer".

Step 3. Transfer Videos to Your Device

After that, you can click the "Transfer" button next to the video to begin transferring, or click "Transfer All" button in the bottom right corner to transfer multiple videos at one time.
